For our Spotlight this month we are featuring Angela Dodson in the Customer Service Department! Angela is our Accounting Supervisor and has been with Amherst Alarm for 8 years.

1. What does your job entail?
I produce monthly financial statements to present Tim and Maryann and for the banks at year-end. Prepare an annual budget and analyze any variances. Provide information to the tax accountant to complete the tax return and to auditors for sales tax audits, etc. I also supervise the accounting assistant who mainly handles our accounts payable.

2. What has been your proudest moment at Amherst Alarm?
My proudest moment at Amherst Alarm was aiding in the successful transition of the accounts and financial data when we acquired Eastern States Sentinel Alarm in 2018.

3. Your favorite TV show?
My favorite TV show is The Office. I have already re-watched more than once.

4. What hobbies do you have outside of work?
I love spending as much time as I can with my family, watching movies and watching/attending Sabres games.

5. What is your favorite place to eat?
Favorite food is Picasso’s or Bocce’s pizza.

6. Best vacation you’ve been on?
My best vacation I have been on is a tie between my trip to London with my husband to visit friends and our honeymoon in Punta Cana.
