For our Spotlight this month we are featuring Matt Doedema in the Monitoring Response Center. Matt is an MRC Supervisor and has been with Amherst Alarm for 9 Years!

1. What does your job entail?
As one of the shift supervisors, I make sure that the MRC is running efficiently in the absence of a senior dispatcher. I also help out data entry with getting projects done in a timely manner.

2. What has been your proudest moment working at Amherst Alarm?
Just being able to help out our customers with their issues, whether it be an alarm activation or figuring out what trouble they have.

3. What is your favorite meal?
I don’t really have any favorite meal but a good homemade mac & cheese is never out of the question.

4. Who is your favorite band or singer?
I enjoy listening to 80’s music.

5. What do you like to do for fun?
I enjoy playing Minecraft & spending time with my family. I’m also a firefighter/ EMT & Erie County hazmat tech so it keeps me busy.

6. What is your dream vacation?
Taking the family on a month-long camping trip through Virginia.
